Before training staff and before opening the doors—practical gates so launch day stays calm.

Before you invite the team

  • Bank account for payouts confirmed with finance
  • Product list or service menu entered with correct tax category
  • Opening stock counted (if you track inventory)
  • Receipt printer and barcode scanner tested on the lane you will use
  • Supervisor PINs assigned—not shared with cashiers

Before you open the doors

  • Two shadow shifts completed on /pos
  • Void and refund paths tested with a supervisor present
  • Customer import reviewed for duplicates
  • WhatsApp templates approved (if messaging is enabled)
  • End-of-day reconciliation checklist posted at the register

First month habits

Review sales, cash, and overdue invoices every Monday in /backoffice. Adjust roles before adding a second branch—not after a surprise refund.
